For those with a passion for the feathered friends of nature, Seven Islands State Birding Park is offering a Beginner Birding Hike on Friday, July 19th, at 8:30 a.m. Led by Ranger Ashlyn, this 3-mile morning hike is the perfect opportunity to learn the basics of bird identification, as well as discover the various tools and resources available to budding birdwatchers. The cost for this guided adventure is for adults and for children, making it an affordable and educational outing for the whole family.

Big Ridge State Park: Exploring the Wonders of Creek Critters

On Sunday, July 21st, Big Ridge State Park invites visitors to join Ranger Holly for a free "Creek Critter Exploration" event at the Grist Mill, starting at noon.
